BMW to debut two models at SH auto show

Shanghai, March 26 (Gasgoo.com) BMW AG plans to debut two new cars at Shanghai Auto Show in April, Beijing Times reported today, citing a statement of BMW China.

Details of the two cars are highly confidential, according to the report. However, four other car models are reported to make their Asia debuts at the show, which includes BMW 5-series Gran Turismo concept, MINI Crossover, MINI E and an unnamed model.

The Gran Turismo Concept made its first public appearance at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month. The production version of the GT can be expected to be available very soon, according to the report.

MINI Crossover is a four-door, four-seat vehicle with all-wheel drive and a body length of more than 4 meters, the first of its kind in BMW's Mini range. The MINI E reportedly has a range of 150 miles after an 8-hour recharging and is powered by a 572-pound lithium ion battery.

The BMW 7-Series Active Hybrid will also make its China debut at the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show. In Addition, the German luxury car maker will show off its Z4 Roadster and Mini roadster at the event.
