Pannell Kerr Forester of Texas has joined a team of eight Microsoft Dynamics Navision partners to form the Navision Automotive Alliance, which will focus on technology for the automotive manufacturing industry, especially automotive parts.
The Navision Automotive Alliance (NAA) will deliver an integrated offering that combines AIM Computer Solutions' Vision AutoSys and Microsoft Dynamics NAV. This integrated product is designed to address the needs of suppliers that must use electronic data interchange (EDI) to manage released demands against purchase orders from multiple trading partners and are required to print Automotive Industry Action Group-based bar code labels with each shipment.
The fully automated offering already provides the base EDI software and related bar code capabilities for more than 150 trading partners, including DaimlerChrysler, Ford, General Motors and Honda.
"This alliance is a fantastic example of the benefits to both partners and customers of true partner collaboration," said Mogens Elsberg, general manager of Microsoft Dynamics NAV. "The combined talents of eight certified Microsoft Dynamics NAV Partners are bringing a focused solution to the production part automotive supplier, based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft technology. The benefits to customers in having access to this new integrated vertical solution are huge."
Microsoft will provide the NAA with assistance in presentations and telemarketing, as well as end-user messaging.
The eight Microsoft Dynamics Navision partners in the NAA are AIM Computer Solutions, Eximas Corporation, i3 Business Solutions, Integrated Software Systems, Pannell Kerr Forster of Texas, ProfitPoint, Real Solutions, and Team Technology.
