Toyota Motor Kyushu Inc said Thursday it will set up a plant to make parts for hybrid cars at a cost of some 16 billion yen at an industrial park straddling Kitakyushu and the adjacent town of Kanda in Fukuoka Prefecture.
The new plant, the company's third production facility, is due to come on stream in summer next year on a 340,000-square-meter site, employing about 150 workers, the Toyota Motor Corp group firm said.
