Geely Auto has Net Profit Growth of 128% in the First half of year and will Launch new PHEV model

Shanghai, August 18, Gasgoo - Geely released its semi-annual report on August 16th showing that the group has total revenue of RMB 39.42b in the reporting period with a year-on-year growth of 118%. The allocable profit is RMB 4.34b, increasing 128% year-on-year. The basic earnings per share reach RMB 0.49, increasing 120% year-on-year.

Geely Auto said that its strong performance of cars and SUV models in domestic market could offset its weak exporting sales volume. Geely has a total sales volume of 530,627 units in the first half of year, increasing 89% year-on-year. The domestic sales volume increases 95% to 526,779 units in the year.

The best-seller Emgrand brand sells 117,718 units in the reporting period, increasing 10% year-on-year and accounting for 22% of the total sales volume. Emgrand EV sells 7,982 units.

It’s analyzed that alternative energy vehicles and Internet-cars will be the key areas for the transformation of domestic auto industry. Geely has been fully prepared for the increasing demands on electric vehicles and Internet cars, supported by its Blue Geely Initiate and new models based on CMA platform.

In the meantime, Geely will arrange more alternative energy vehicle models in its product portfolio, to provide more choices for customers. It will also launch the new hybrid models and PHEV models in the latter half of year.
