WEY'S VV5 long wheelbase with more changes

Shanghai (Gasgoo)-Recently it was reported that the WEY will launch VV5’s long wheelbase version. It is said that the new car will be 123mm longer. In addition, the new car will also be further adjusted in shape, and be equipped with a 2.0T engine with maximum power of 197 horsepower.

It is reported that the new car will be upgraded in terms of appearance. the car will not only keep  WEY family's overall design style, it will also be more sporty and sharp. Sharp headlamps will be more radical and fog lamp position will also be reoptimized, highlighting the difference from the current model.

The car is not only adjusted in length, but also is slightly changed in other dimensions. The length, width and height are 4585/1860/1720mm respectively and the wheelbase is 2680mm. According to the data, the whole body will be lower, creating a Coupe style.

In terms of power, VV5 long wheelbase model will continue to use GW4C20 2.0T engine, of which the maximum power is 197 horsepower and the peak torque is 355 nm. And a 7-speed wet dual clutch gearbox will be matched.

For WEY brand, whether it is VV5 or VV7, the number of the models is relatively small. Compared with rivals, the choice is not large. The launch of VV5 long-wheelbase version will further rich the product line of WEY brand, so that WEY brand can better compete with Geely Emgrand, Roewe RX5, Borgward BX5 and other models. The appearance is also upgraded, which may be helpful to raising its sales after launching.
