Name of JAC, Volkswagen’s electric vehicle brand exposed

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The electric vehicle brand co-built by JAC and Volkswagen is expected to be named as Sihao, according to local media. To be based on the JAC iEV7S, the first model is slated to be a small-size SUV, featuring the same appearance, size, weight, battery and powertrains as those of the JAC iEV7S.

From the patent information, the new model measures 4,135mm in length, 1,750mm in width and 1,560mm in height. It is powered by an electric motor with a power output of 85kW. Moreover, the new model is estimated to have a range of 280km.

In terms of design style, the products under Sihao brand are likely to strongly resemble JAC's existing model products. It will have some upgrades in some details. The new model features brown decorations on its rearview mirror and adopts fashionable pulling-through tail lights. Besides, it also offers optional outside rear-view mirror with panoramic imaging function. What's more, the new model bears a lightening-like logo as well as a badge dubbed "SOL" below the logo at the rear end.
