Ford Motor Co.'s passenger vehicle-making joint venture in China sold 29,642 units in June, a 75.6% increase from 16,880 units a year earlier, its Chinese joint-venture partner said Monday.

Sales by the joint venture, Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co., rose 20.0% in the January-June period to 140,438 units from 117,063 units a year earlier, Chongqing Changan Automobile Co. said in a statement.
