JAC posts export vehicle growth of 12.36% in H1

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- JAC manufactured 27,961 units of vehicles and chassis in June, sliding 18.14% year on year. Its deliveries of vehicles and chassis reached 28,488 units with a year-on-year drop of 18.29%, according to JAC's output and sales report for June.

During the first half of this year, JAC delivered 252,270 vehicles and chassis with a year-on-year decline of 8.16%. Its output of vehicles and chassis reached 254,680 units, down 3.35% over the previous year.

In June, JAC handed over 2,308-unit heavy trucks, representing a 23.53% decline year on year. During January and June, JAC sold 26,090-unit heavy trucks with a decrease of 19.73% over the previous year.

In terms of sales of mid-size trucks, JAC delivered 1,201 vehicles in June, down 4.38% from a year earlier. During the first half of this year, the sales of mid-size trucks reached 7,098 units, falling 13.39% over the same period last year.

JAC light trucks had an excellent sales performance in June with 12,248 units sold, a year-on-year slip of 9.37%. During the first half of 2018, JAC delivered 110,528-unit light trucks, up 2.25% from the same period a year ago.

Xingrui, JAC's light bus brand, delivered 216-unit light bus in June, slumping 43.16% from a year ago. During January and June, Xingrui delivered 2,195-unit multi-functional commercial vehicles, up 1.57% compared to the same period last year.

As to the sales of large-size buses and chassis, JAC delivered 780-unit bus chassis in June, a 32.17% shrink from a year earlier. During the past six months, JAC delivered 126-unit large-size bus, plunging 74.9% compared with the previous year. Sales of mid-size bus and light bus reached 100 units and 214 units respectively, slumping 53.27% and 35.15% on an annual basis.

During the past six months, JAC delivered 3,730-unit bus chassis with a year-on-year dive of 47.43%. The cumulative sales of large-size bus achieved an 8.41% growth to 1,302 units. The cumulative sales of mid-size bus and light bus reached 1,059 units and 885 units respectively, down 11.45% and 50.86% year on year.

In addition, JAC exported 7,279 vehicles in June, advancing 56.94% over the previous year. During the first half of this year, JAC exported 40,643 vehicles in total, rising 12.36% on an annual basis.
