According to the patent images, the Lynk & Co 05 features a fastback style of coupe SUV, while its front face still retains Lynk & Co family's iconic design. Above the grille which is seamlessly flanked by headlights, there are Lynk & Co's signature daytime running lights. Large-sized air-breathers are next to the bumper.

At the rear end, taillights are embedded with a cluster of horizontally-installed LED lamps rather than vertically-installed crystal lamps for other models. A silver trim stretches across a black panel and taillights. The Lynk &Co 05 packs an exhaust layout with a single pipe on each side.

Based on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform jointly developed by Volvo and Geely, the Lynk & Co 05 is regarded as the coupe version of the Lynk & Co 01. The new model measures 4,592mm long, 1,879mm wide and 1,628mm tall with a wheelbase spanning 2,734mm. Compared to the Mazda CX-4, the Lynk & Co 05 boasts advantages in width, height and wheelbase.

Powering the new car will be a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine (higher power version) or a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine (lower/higher power versions). The 1.5T engine can pump out 132kW and 265N·m and the 2.0T engine will generate 175kW/350 N·m or 140kW/300 N·m.
