Shanghai, November 4 (Gasgoo.com) Cadillac CTS-V will be launched at the upcoming 2008 Guangzhou Auto Show later this month, Shanghai-General Motors marketing director Chen Weixu said to cheshi.net. CTS-V, the high-performance model of Cadillac V-series, is likely to be priced 30-40% higher than the normal edition in America.
Chen Weixu said they will also consider introducing the CTS wagon and coupe models after some necessary market survey is conducted to see whether the two models meet the Chinese market demand. But the Cadillac V-series will be introduced into China first as CTS-V went on sale in the US first, Chen said.
In recent two years, luxury brands such as Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have developed their dealer systems quickly. Regarding the Cadillac dealer systems, Chen disclosed that Cadillac dealers will extend to 43-45 within the year and will reach 50 by 2009, mainly covering first- and second-tier cities and also some smaller cities.
Escalade Hybrid, put on sale in America this August, will also be introduced to China by the first half of 2009, Cadillac confirmed at the 2008 Beijing Auto Show back in April.
