SPORTS car maker Porsche AG has launched the next generation of Porsche 911 Carreras in China, its third-biggest market.
The German car maker has maintained high sales growth in China over the past few years in spite of the nation's higher consumption tax and the global financial crisis. For the fiscal year ending July, Porsche sold more than 7,600 sports cars in China, accounting for 7.5 percent of its global sales.
A direct fuel injection system enables the new Carrera to offer up to 12.9 percent more fuel economy and 5.4 percent lower CO2 emissions, despite an increase in power.
