Shanghai, January 14 (Gasgoo.com) Anhui Jianghuai Auto Co., Ltd. (JAC) has said that it will launch two all-new car models to market this year and the company aims to sell 200,000 passenger vehicles annually by 2011, Beijing Youth Daily reported today.
According to a sedan sales executive of Jianghuai Auto, the company will release an A-class sedan model in mid-2009. The model will have the 1.6L and 1.8L editions, to be priced between 80,000 yuan ($11,700) and 100,000 yuan.
At the end of this year, JAC will launch an A0-class car model. It will focus on the 1.0L edition and will be cheaper than the Jianghuai Tongyue sedan which is priced at 49,800-66,800 yuan.
Tongyue, Jianghuai's the first A-class car, was displayed at the Guangzhou auto show in late November 2008. Previously codenamed Jianghuai A137 (hatchback) and Jianghuai A138 (sedan), the hatchback is officially named "Tongyue RS" and the sedan "Tongyue" now.
Sources said that the Tongyue sedan model will have an automatic version available on market in April and meanwhile a 1.5L Tongyue hatchback model will go on sale. The 1.3L Tongyue model will contribute most to Jianghuai car sales.
JAC aims to sell 200,000 passenger vehicles annually by 2011. All the JAC car models in future will meet the Euro IV emission standards.
Jianghuai Auto is China's leading commercial vehicle producer. It diversified to the passenger car market in 2006 to boost profitability.
