Shanghai, June 26 (Gasgoo.com) Chery Auto is to launch its trendy mini-car Chery QQme (Chery S16) tonight, cheshi.com said. The Mini-like small car, priced between 40,000 yuan ($5,860) and 50,000 yuan, will target the young female demographic.
The QQme is a four-seater, two-door minicar, measuring 3,747mm x 1,597mm x 1,514mm, with a 2,315mm wheelbase. It will be powered by a 1.3-liter gasoline engine, which can generate a peak power of 62kW. It also has many safety features such as the safety airbag, ABS+EBD, and reversing radar.
Since its concept was unveiled in 2005, this quaint small Chery model has been eagerly anticipated by young buyers, especially female customers. As a fashionable mini-car model designed for young customers, the Chery QQme will rival the VW Beetles and BMW Mini in the market.
The Chery QQme is seen as Chey's most trendy aesthetic mini model, representing its "QQme, Only me" theme. It aims to set the small-car trend as well as to express the independence, confidence, and dynamics of the young generation.

The QQme comes in five colors, and is priced from 40,000 to 60,000 yuan. Sales of the Chery QQ series reached 16,055 units in March. The QQme minicar is expected to boost Chery's QQ brand image.
Chery Auto, now a major Chinese-brand automaker, started as a manufacturer of QQ-series small cars and still retains its R&D leadership in the small-car segment.
