FAW Group has commenced production of the group's commercial vehicle heavy-duty gearbox, the CA10TA190.
The engine was designed by the FAW Group technology centre and is produced by the FAW Jiefang Gearbox Company. This gearbox will be mated with FAW Group's heavy-duty diesel engines. Output of this engine is expected to reach 30,000 units per year.
According to Chinabuses.com, FAW Group invested Yuan 265m (US$38.78m) from the technological transformations fund to guarantee production of this engine.
