Auto plans to launch five new car models in the second half of this year. In addition, the F3DM electric car will sell to individual consumers from September, and the all-electric e6 model is also likely to go on sale by December.

Shanghai, June 22 (Gasgoo.com) BYD Auto plans to launch five new car models in the second half of this year. In addition, the F3DM electric car will sell to individual consumers from September, and the all-electric e6 model is also likely to go on sale by December, sina.com said today.

The S8, G3, L3, S6 and M6 are the five new models that BYD will put on sale in the coming six months. The BYD S8 (former F8) is China's first coupe-like sedan that uses hard-top convertible technology. At present, the "S8 Convertible" is on mass production and may go on sale by early July.

BYD will enter the MPV market this year and the M6 is identified as its first flagship MPV model. BYD said the M6, which looks like the Toyota Previa, will be priced below 200,000 yuan ($29,300) and put on sale in September.

The G3 and L3 models (former F4 and F5) are two compact sedans. The G3 is based on the F3 but positioned higher. Later this year, it will enter the BYD A3 sales network under construction. The L3 is positioned higher than G3.

In addition to the five new models, BYD's all-electric e6 model is also expected to go on sale by the end of this year, and the F3DM electric car will start selling to individual consumers in September.
