SAIC Maxus September sales soars 79%

Shanghai (Gasgoo)-The latest reports have it that SAIC Maxus September sales soared 79% to 7,637 units. During the previous nine months, SAIC Maxus's cumulative sales volume reached 45,488 units with a year-on-year increase of 46%. It sold 40,060 units in domestic market, increasing 38% year on year. From January to August, SAIC Maxus posted a cumulative overseas sales volume of 4,289 units, and boasted consecutive sales growth in Australia and New Zealand, etc. 

SAIC Maxus has a wide range of vehicles, including MPV, pickup, SUV, and NEVs. Among them, MPV played a crucial role in SAIC Maxus's sales growth. The V80, positioned as a commercial MPV, sold 2,853 units with a year-on-year growth of 16% in September, and the cumulative sales volume in previous nine months reached 18,964 units. The G10 posted September sales of 2,789 units and cumulative sales in previous nine months of 18,858 units, increasing 55% and 46% year on year respectively.

With the pickup policy becoming increasingly flexible, sales of the T60 exceeded 1,000 units monthly after it was launched in April. Till now, the total sales volume of the T60 reached 6,862 units, of which 1,359 units were sold in foreign countries.

What's more, with years of hard work, SAIC Maxus now is expanding its new markets in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Lan Qingsong, Vice President of SAIC Motor, indicated that SAIC Maxus will place a high priority on the development of five core foreign markets. It is released that SAIC Maxus aims to have a sales target of 300,000 units in 2020, and the overseas sales will account for 30%.

During January and August, SAIC Maxus posted overseas sales of 4,289 units. The total sales of Australia and New Zealand reached 2,262 units with a year-on-year rise of 40%, making great contribution to SAIC Maxus's overseas sales volume. The total sales in Australia and New Zealand rose 59% and 20% year on year to 1,397 units and 853 units respectively. 

Till now, the V80, G10, G10 Diesel Edition, and T60 has been introduced into overseas markets. On Sept. 25, the T60 and D90 were luanched in Australia. On Sept. 28, the T60 hit the New Zealand market. These models show SAIC Maxus's strong determination in earning market shares in foreign countries.
