Changan Auto new CS35 to go on sale

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In recent days, local media has got the declaration details of Changan Auto’s new CS35 from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The light compact SUV CS35 that went on sale in March last year is one of Changan Auto’s most popular models who saw cumulative sales of 150 thousand units by the end of 2017. Compared with the existing model, the new CS35 get improvements at its front end and rear end as well as the measurement.

At its front end, the new CS35 features many rectangular elements. For instance, the straight lines are used in upper and lower intake grilles as well as the front headlight cluster which convey a masculine feeling. The straight waistlines, the floating roof, the curled-up rear spoiler and the starlike wheel rim deliver a visual effect of youth. Its boxy rear end features fashionable pulling-through LED taillights that echo with the contrast-color bumper.

The new model will be equipped with many optional configurations, such as front combination lamp, front fog lamp, cameras, clearstory and reversing radar, etc. 

The new CS35 measures 4,335mm in length, 1,825mm in width and 1,660mm in height and boasts a wheelbase of 2,600mm. Compared with the existing CS35, the new model is 10mm shorter in length, 165mm longer in length, 15mm longer in width and 40mm longer in wheelbase. The larger size makes the new CS35 more competitive among models of the same class.

The new CS35 carries a 1.6L naturally aspirated engine titled JL478QEP which can output a maximum power of 94kW (higher than that of the existing model) with minimum combined fuel consumption per 100 kilometer of 7.3L. The transmission system adopts 5-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission.
