GAC Group sees large-scale personnel changes

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- GAC Group underwent great personnel adjustment, covering more than ten senior executive posts in new energy, mobility and JV recently. In particular, Zhang Yuesai, vice general manager of GAC Mitsubishi, Li Jin, executive vice general manager of GAC FCA and Hu Su, executive vice general manager of GAC-Sofinco Auto Finance will be promoted as chairman of respective departments in GAC Group.

It is said that Zhang Yuesai will be appointed as chairman of GAC Business, and Li Quming, former general manager of GAC Component will be his successor. Li Jin will be named as chairman of GAC Component, and Zhang Zongsheng, former vice general manager of GAC Honda will take Li's former post. Hu Su will act as chairman of DS.cn, and Xu Yulin, former minister of economic operation department of GAC Group will succeed him as executive vice general manager of GAC-Sofinco Auto Finance.

In addition, He Xianqing, secretary of the party committee of GAC Business, will be named as general manager of GAC Business. Gao Yongping, former minister of customer service of GAC Honda will serve as general manager of DS.cn. All of the personnel changes will be examined and approved by GAC's board of directors, and will take effect on Sept. 1.

GAC Group stated that the personnel adjustments aim to strengthen its competitiveness in emerging areas, such as new energy, intelligent connectivity and mobility, in order to exert strategic and synergistic effect. Moreover, the personnel changes also will target to train allround talents.

The personnel changes will not only largely uplift the importance of mobility area, but also will enhance the development of NEVs. According to GAC's announcement, Yu Jun, general manager of GAC Motor will be promoted as chairman of GAC NE.

During the past seven months, GAC Group produced 124,330 vehicles, up 7.87% on an annual basis. The cumulative sales of GAC Group reached 118,650 vehicles with a year-on-year growth of 5.77%。
