XPENG G3 hits the market on Dec. 12 with price starting from RMB135,800 with subsidies

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese EV startup XPENG Motors officially launched its first mass-produced model—the G3 into market on December 12 and 24 XPENG G3s were handed over to consumers on spot. Offering 3 variants based on different configuration combination, the new model is priced from RMB135,800 with subsidies.

The XPeng G3 SUV model adopts EV's typical design devoid of intake grille at its front end, mated with LED daytime running lights and sleek headlights with LED light source inside. The protruding lines on the bonnet extend to the logo in the middle.

The new model is typically a SUV in terms of the side profile. Both the diving posture and the pure black roof highlight its sports essence. The entire model series comes standard with LED daytime running lights, automatic LED headlights/taillights, LED rear fog lights, electrically adjustable external rear view mirror integrated steering and heating functions as well as electric-powered tailgate.

The pliable rear end carries the integrated taillights embedded with LED light source, which deliver an eye-catching light effect when they are illuminated at night. Meanwhile, the new vehicle sports large-sized five-spoke rims that look very dynamic and sporty. 

As for the interior, the new model adopts a panoramic front windshield, giving an unlimited view of the horizon from the inside. The front-facing camera installed at the top rear-view mirror is used to collect data of road conditions. Besides, the G3 sees a 12.3-inch full liquid crystal instrument panel that shows the user-defined information and a 15.6-inch touch liquid crystal display at the center console integrating such applications as navigation, music and bluetooth phone as standard.

The G3 features the ACC (adaptive cruise control), LCS (lane centering system), automatic speed adjustment system, assistant driving simulation display system as optional facilities for different variants. Besides, the intelligent on-board system, AI assist, OTA upgrading service, car-borne bluebooth, smart charging management system, parking service and remote driving diagnosis are offered as standard amenities. Noticeably, the G3 is outfitted with a high-definition 360-degree rotatable camera on the roof that is available for taking photos, recording video, detecting roads and checking surroundings.

The new model will be powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor that pumps out 197hp and peak torque of 300 N·m, carrying a battery pack with capacity of 47.6/47.1 kWh. This power system will provide the vehicle with a range up to 365/351km.
