All-new BYD Song MAX with rotatable screen to go on sale in first half of 2019

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The Song Max is a MPV model developed by Chinese automaker BYD and its sales totaled over 140,000 units in 2018. The all-new BYD Song MAX is about to hit the market in the first half of the year, according to local media.

From the published photos, we can see that the new model still retains BYD’s iconic design language of “Dragon Face” at its front face, while the noticeable changes is the multi-layered grille which is flanked by sooty headlights integrated with LED light source.

Its sporty and dynamic feature is also characterized by such changes as the amber body color, the brand-new 17-inch two-tone rims and the two-tone rear-view mirror, etc.

As to the interior, the new MPV model is also expected to adopt BYD's latest family design language. The center console will carry a rotatable screen. Besides, the vehicle will be fitted with the BYD DiLink intelligent-connected system that allows people to voice commands, download applications, connect with mobile phones and use 4G networks and car-borne WiFi.

Under the hood, the all-new BYD Song MAX will be powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that pumps out 113kW and 240 N·m, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed dual clutch transmission.
