In 2019, the joint venture is ready to launch 18 new models (including refreshed models) under Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac, covering such segments as sedan and SUV. It aims to strengthen its NEV offensive this year by letting the Buick VELITE 6 BEV hit the market and launching Chevrolet's all-electric models. Besides, the 48-volt mild hybrid system will be fully installed into SAIC-GM's vehicles with traditional powertrain.

The automaker expects to have its all-new driving system mounted into 70% of vehicles in 2020. Additionally, the IoV (Internet of Vehicles), which is regarded as the "second engine" to improve users' experience, will be upgraded to cover such functions as online music/radio platforms, cloud navigation, remote control, intelligent push notification, virtual key, in-car payment system, voice assistant as well as smart home, etc.

SAIC-GM plans to upgrade its dealership system by adding three new modules of pre-owned car service, sharing and financial support into the existing system consisting of four modules including new car sale, after-sale service, accessory and customer care.
