FAW Group Feb. sales up 379% year on year
Beijing (Gasgoo)- FAW Group sold 231,881 vehicles in February, up 379.2% year on year while its monthly output surged to 225,921 vehicles, the group said on Tuesday.
Hongqi, the luxury marque of the group, had a monthly sales volume of 13,009, representing a year-on-year increase of 246.7% while the brand’s monthly production jumped 492% from a year ago to 13,616 units. The cumulative sales of the luxury brand jumped 178% from a year ago to 45,535 units. The other two self-owned brands, Besturn and Jiefang, both saw monthly sales with three-digit growth rates.

Among all joint ventures of the group, FAW VW remained the best seller with more than 120,000 vehicles sold last month while FAW Toyota sold 50,208 vehicles last month with a hike of 655.8% compared with the same month of last year.
