Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese telecom giant Huawei showcased its latest achievements in intelligent driving, smart cockpit, intelligent electrification, connectivity and automobile-related cloud service solutions at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition 2020, attending the Auto China for the second time as an independent exhibitor.
The all-new intelligent cockpit at Huawei's exhibition stand reveals that the white-painted streamlined body adopts the ragtop-styled element. Aside from the indoor layout and facilities, the silhouettes of headlight and taillight clusters also emerge on the exhibited cabinet.
On the eve of the grand motor show, Huawei launched the new-generation products of its MDC (Mobile Data Center) intelligent driving platform—the MDC 210 and the MDC610.
Li Zhenya, general manager of Huawei Smart Car Solution Business Unit's MDC product department, said that the MDC 210 and 610 can offer 48 and 160 TOPS of computing power respectively, and provide economical and practical computing resources for L2 plus and L3 to L4 autonomous driving, enabling smooth upgrade for computing platforms.
The ICT infrastructure and smart device provider, who repeatedly claims it role as a tier-one automobile supplier rather than an automaker, is strengthening its offensive into auto industry. About ten days before the opening of the Auto China, Huawei launched the cloud-based service for EV's crucial parts, with the aim of solving the issue on battery safety and lifespan by integrating its core technologies in battery and ICT fields.
Based on Vehicle History Report (VHR) data, the newly-launched service is able to analyze the big data about battery's temperature, voltage, internal resistance and other indicators based on cloud, and warn of the anomalies like battery spontaneous combustion. By virtue of the cloud-based OTA, the new service can help draw up an intelligent charging strategy to ensure battery safety and offer longer service life.
