Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co.,Ltd. will recall a total of 29,193 imported Model Ss and Model Xs produced between Sept. 17, 2013 and Aug. 16, 2017 due to technical issues that impose safety risks, according to China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR).

The SAMR also said 19,249 imported Model Ss produced during the period starting Sept. 17, 2013 and ending October 15, 2018 will be recalled this time.
To remove the safety risks, Tesla will replace the rear linkages of the left & right front suspension of the upper linkages of the left & right rear suspension with the improved parts for the vehicles recalled. The replacement will be made for free.
The EV manufacturer has made its Model 3, its only China-made model currently for sale, the best-selling all-electric model in China. According to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), the retail sales of the homegrown Model 3 totaled 79,908 units for the first nine months of 2020, 49,393 units more than that of the runner-up Aion S.
While receiving blooming sales in the world's largest auto market, the company said on October 19 it would start exporting China-made Model 3 cars to more than 10 European countries this month, including Germany, France, Italy and Switzerland.
The construction of the second phase of Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory is well underway. A local media said on October 22, the project of the second phase has gone through its gateway review and the China-made Model Y, Tesla’s second China-built mode, is expected to be fully put into production in early 2021.
