Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Oct. 9, Chongqing Phoenix Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of SERES Group, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Volcano Engine, ByteDance's intelligent cloud service company, to jointly design and develop embodied intelligence technologies, and build a new AI application ecosystem.

Under the partnership, the two companies will collaborate on a project focusing on intelligent robotics decision-making, control, and human–machine augmentation for multimodal cloud–edge collaboration. They aim to establish a closed-loop framework integrating technology R&D and scenario validation, laying a foundation for end-to-end innovation in embodied AI.

The cooperation will also focus on accelerating the digital and intelligent transformation of the automotive industry. Volcano Engine will provide technical expertise in language, vision, multimodal AI, and general-purpose large models, offering algorithm and computing power support. Meanwhile, Phoenix Technology will leverage SERES Group's strengths in manufacturing and industrial data systems to enable real-world deployment of intelligent applications.

Both sides will explore new "technology + scenario" business models to empower automotive manufacturing with safer, smarter, and more emotionally aware AI-driven agents.
