Shanghai (Gasgoo)- As the champion on the SUV sales list for nearly 60 months, Haval H6 can be said to be the king in the field of SUV. However, the Baojun 530, a new SUV under Baojun marque owned by SAIC-GM-Wuling, may threaten its leading position.

With an expected starting price of RMB 78,800, Baojun 530 integrates the advantages of both Baojun 560 and Baojun 510. In appearance, the model uses the same dynamic parallel design as Baojun 510, which makes the overall appearance delicate. In terms of body size, it is 4,655mm long with a wheelbase of 2,750mm.

As for the interior, Baojun 530 adopts a similar style to Baojun 510. Its configuration also plays out the brand’s constant advantages, providing leapfrog configurations including ESC (electronic stability system), Button Start, electric seat at main driver's seat , panoramic sunroof and independent air-conditioning in back row.

As for its engine, Baojun 530 will be equipped with Baojun’s two mature engines, 1.8L and 1.5T, with a maximum power of 137 horsepower and 150 horsepower respectively. In terms of chassis, it uses the same independent suspension combination as Baojun 560, adding s spring aimed to enhance the comfort of driving experience.

Baojun family has battled with Haval family for the champion since the launching of Baojun 560. However, the battle always ends up with Baojun’s ranking the second. It seems that the old design of Baojun 560 results in the failure. Despite its advantages in cost and performance as well as large rear space in the back row, it is far from Haval H6’s diversified versions. Though Baojun 510’s original unique design style is well received among young consumers, Baojun 510, positioned as a small SUV with a price of RMB 50,000 to RMB 80,000, hasn’t formed the direct competitive relationship with Haval H6.

Even though Haval H6 still won the championship of this list, its November sales slumped by 23 percent, from 70,292 to 54,097. As the sales of Haval H6 declines, Baojun 530, boasting advantages of Baojun 510 and Baojun 560 may surpass Haval H6 in sales.
