Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The ORA iQ, the first model under Great Wall Motor's newly-launched NEV brand ORA, officially hit the market at the Chengdu Motor Show 2018. The price is ranging from RMB 89,800 to RMB 105,800 after deducted NEV subsidy.

At the launching ceremony, the automaker received an order of 4,000 ORA iQs from JD AUTO, a vehicle retail platform owned by Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com and a Hebei-based automotive service provider.

Positioned as a next-generation all-electric compact crossover model, the ORA iQ measures 4,445mm in length, 1,735mm in width and 1,567mm in height. The wheelbase of the new model is 2,615mm.

At the front face, the intake grille, featuring an integrated design, and the slim LED headlights on both sides create a sense of utility and beauty. The smooth waistlines full of tension and the 17-inch aluminum alloy wheel hub all respond to the vehicle sport theme. At the rear end, the matrix-type LED taillights feature a similar shape of the headlights.  

The yacht-type interior design will make passenger feel comfortable and safe. The user-friendly interior layout boasts a floating center console with an 8-inch display. Besides, the spacious back-row seating room and the hatchback trunk leave sufficient driving and storage space for users.

The ORA iQ powered by the ternary-lithium battery from Farasis and the permanent magnet synchronous generator from BorgWarner. Such power system is able to generate a maximum power of 120kw and peak torque of 280N·m. Besides, it makes the vehicle boast a combined mileage of 360km. Drivers is allowed to make choices among three optional models, namely, the ECO (Economy), the Normal and the Sport, depending on the energy balance and their own driving habits.
