CH-AUTO Technology, NavInfo reach agreement to co-develop autonomous driving, IoV tech

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese car design company CH-AUTO Technology and the Beijing-based NavInfo recently signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Beijing to promote both parties’ business development and strategic deployment in autonomous driving and IoV (Internet of Vehicles) areas. 

Under the agreement, both companies decided to jointly discuss and refine the cooperative scheme in such domains as autonomous driving technologies, IoV (Internet of Vehicles) big data applications, car-borne intelligent auto parts and other domestic and overseas businesses.

As to autonomous driving technology, Qiantu Motor, the new energy vehicle manufacturing subsidiary wholly owned by CH-AUTO technology, will team up with NavInfo to jointly develop L3 autonomous driving systems and put them into scale application.

Besides, NavInfo and Beijing CH-AUTO Research & Development Co., Ltd, another subsidiary of CH-AUTO Technology, will join forces to develop advanced map-enhanced driver assistance systems (ADASIS) that will be widely applied in electric commercial vehicles. 

Additionally, NavInfo will partner with WATTPACK Technology Co.,Ltd, CH-AUTO Technology's new energy vehicle core parts manufacturing subsidiary, to conduct research and development on core parts for high-definition maps (HD map).

To provide users with unique intelligent mobility services, CH-AUTO Technology and NavInfo will carry out deeper collaboration in high-definition 3D navigation technology, big data service of traffic positioning, cloud voice recognition, POI (point of information) of charging piles, based on their cooperation in map data and navigation engine.

Moreover, both companies will also develop joint businesses in overseas markets relying on their respective layouts in global market and seek potential opportunities to further expand the existing global businesses.
