The shipment of the XPeng P7s will be sent to Norway and the car delivery is expected to commence there in the fourth quarter of this year.
Notably, Norway is the startup's first overseas market, where the G3i SUVs have been handed over to local consumers. The vehicles exported were adapted in charging ports and intelligence software to comply with Norwegian regulations, meet local technical standards, and suit local users' behaviors.
As XPeng's second mass-produced model, the P7 has become a major contributor to the company's growth in domestic sales. As of July 31, 2021, XPeng's year-to-date deliveries rocketed 388% from a year earlier to 38,778 units, 25,550 of which were the P7s, representing a 1,051.4% year-over-year surge. In July, P7's monthly delivery volume hit a record high of 6,054 units.
On August 23, XPeng announced the 50,000th P7 officially came off the assembly line at XPeng's Zhaoqing new energy vehicle plant, only 496 days after the first one was produced.
