The Baojun KiWi EV was unveiled at the Auto Shanghai 2021 as a facelift of the Baojun E300. It keeps the same styling as the E300 under the “interstellar geometry” design language. The contrasting body color accents give the new car a greater futuristic essence.
Inside the cabinet, the Baojun KiWi EV looks basically identical to its predecessor, but uses rice straw plant fiber materials on the dashboard, door panels and storage compartments to reduce interior odors and improve lightweight performance.
Like the outgoing Baojun E300, the KiWi EV will still come equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor that provides up to 40kW and 150 N·m of torque, matched to a single-speed transmission. The new model uses a 31.9kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack that offers a NEDC-rated range of 305km and can be charged from 30% to 80% of its capacity within 1 hour using DC fast-charging mode.
