Compared to the older logo, the new one adopts a more concise design and a more lively color scheme. To be specific, the uppercase lettering “GM” (standing for “General Motors”) in the exact middle has been replaced by the lowercase “gm” with the letter “m” underscored. At the first glance, the newest logo is shaped like the letter “S”, which represents the parent company SAIC Motor. The color has been changed from gray to gradient sky blue, embodying SAIC-GM's resolution to offer smart mobility services using innovative environmental-friendly smart technologies.
