Saleen to announce price of MaiMai BEV during China’s “Double 11” shopping spree

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- American supercar builder Saleen is going to announce the price of its new all-electric microcar called MaiMai via the e-commerce platform Tmall on November 11 amid the world's largest online shopping festival, also known as “Double 11”.

At the sleek front face, the large-sized grille located below the squarish headlamps renders a sense of youth. The sporty essence is highlighted by neat lines on the bonnet.

Possessing a mellow silhouette, the two-door electric car renders a cute side profile. The C pillar steeply falling into the rear end adds novelty to the vehicle's personality. The trapezoidal license plate frame coupled with red taillights at a boxy rear makes people feel that this is a car particularly designed for people's day-to-day journey.

On the inside, the cockpit is largely covered by black and yellow material, while chrome adornments in somewhere help the vehicle look more upscale. Besides, the flat bottomed three-spoke steering wheel, the circular air conditioner vent and the liquid crystal display at the center console are offered based on its position targeting the young generation.

The MaiMai measures 2,995mm long, 1,600mm wide and 1,580mm high and has a wheelbase of 1,920mm. Its gross mass and curb weight are 1,259kg and 1,100kg respectively. Besides, the vehicle offers tires in two sizes including 155/60 R15 and 175/55 R15.

Powering the micro car will be an electric motor that pumps out around 97kW and a ternary-lithium battery pack. According to a record from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the top speed of the MaiMai is 100km/h. The vehicle will have a NEDC-rated range of up to 305km, the automaker previously said.
