Gasgoo Munich- GAC AION announced on March 6 that the battery-swap version of its AION RT sedan will go on sale in April. The new model will support both charging and battery-swapping capabilities.

For reference, the refreshed AION RT wen on sale in September 2025 with four variants. The official price range was 99,800 to 123,800 yuan, while the post-subsidy price stood at 85,800 to 109,800 yuan.
The vehicle measures 4,865 mm long, 1,875 mm wide, and 1,520 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. Visually, it retains the AION family design language, employing a "progressive golden ratio" that marks the brand's first sedan to balance low aerodynamic drag, spaciousness, and aesthetics. The side profile is streamlined and dynamic, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.208 Cd. At the rear, slender full-width taillights create a broad visual stance when illuminated, while a tapered rear design further accentuates the car's sense of motion.
Inside, the cabin maintains the AION family's minimalist yet sophisticated style. High-contact areas—including the center armrest, dashboard, and door trims—are wrapped in 100% soft leather, while the seats feature a specially developed premium leather. The car comes standard with the ADiGO 6.0 smart cockpit and includes Huawei HiCar 4.0 connectivity for smartphone integration.
On the intelligent driving front, the vehicle is powered by a Horizon Robotics J6E chip and equipped with 22 automotive-grade sensors—including a 3R7V12U setup. This hardware supports highway navigation assist and full-scenario intelligent parking. Buyers also have the option to upgrade to a high-level driver-assistance system featuring LiDAR.
On the powertrain front, the AION RT 520 variant features a motor delivering 150 kW of maximum power and 240 Nm of torque, while the 650 variant increases output to 165 kW with the same torque. Across the lineup, the refreshed AION RT comes standard with CATL's Shenxing battery packs. The 520 model is paired with a 55.1 kWh battery offering a CLTC range of 520 km, whereas the 650 model utilizes a 68.1 kWh pack for a 650 km range.
