Gasgoo Munich- Speaking at a media briefing, Avatr Vice President Yong Jun recently addressed the company's partnership with Huawei.

He noted that Avatr currently employs Huawei’s Qiankun intelligent driving technology, ensuring its vehicles rank in the industry’s top tier for perception capabilities — a status bolstered by Avatr’s position as the second-largest shareholder in Yinwang. Yet Yong Jun emphasized that this deep collaboration hinges on Huawei’s current technological lead and does not imply a permanent lock-in.
Yong Jun stated that Avatr prioritizes its own brand needs in partnerships, seeking the freedom to select the most suitable technology partners. He noted that Huawei played a significant role in developing the Avatr 07L, coordinating on everything from exterior styling and interiors to color schemes. Still, as Yinwang’s second-largest shareholder, he doesn’t view such collaboration models as a "requisite" — Avatr, he insists, possesses its own competitive edge.
Looking ahead, Yong Jun envisions Huawei evolving into a generalized technology platform that provides common services and underlying tech. Avatr would then build distinct product features on top of that foundation to highlight its brand identity. The company, he added, won’t lean on securing exclusive access to Huawei’s resources to differentiate itself; instead, it prefers leveraging shared assets to drive independent innovation.
