Gasgoo Munich- Beijing Off-road officially unveiled final production photos of its new boxy SUV, the Xingtan 5X, on September 19, 2026. The automaker says the model features a design philosophy blending "ruggedness with refinement," and it will come equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun intelligent driving system.

Official teaser materials confirm the Xingtan 5X stretches 5 meters in length. The vehicle is expected to feature Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 Pro autonomous driving solution, paired with Limera’s in-cabin laser vision system.
Regulatory filings show the Xingtan 5X measures 4,865 mm long, 2,000 mm wide, and 1,910 mm tall, extending to 5,005 mm with an external spare tire. The wheelbase comes in at 2,875 mm. Powertrain options include both battery-electric and plug-in hybrid variants. The electric model boasts a CLTC range of 625 km, while the plug-in hybrid packs a 50.4 kWh LFP battery, offering an estimated electric range of over 310 km.
The Xingtan 5X launches Beijing Off-road’s new "Xingtan" new-energy lineup, marking the series’ debut. Officially positioned as a mid-to-large boxy electric SUV, it complements the luxury-oriented Taitan 700. Together, the two form a dual-sequence strategy designed to capture broader segments of the market.
