Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On Jan. 10, the first mass-production unit of the iCAR V27 — an intelligent, rugged, five-seat large SUV under Chery’s iCAR brand — rolled off the line at the Wuhu Super Factory, marking the start of scaled mass production. Developed for global markets, capacity for the domestic and international versions is ramping in parallel. The model is slated to launch in China in the first quarter of 2026, with the first batch bound for the Middle East soon.

Blind reservations for the iCAR V27 have opened. From today through Feb. 28, customers can place a CNY 2,000 deposit to receive a full vehicle purchase tax waiver, priority test drives, and a delivery package valued at CNY 3,000.
iCAR says the V27 measures 5,055 mm long, 1,976 mm wide, and 1,894 mm tall, with a width-to-height ratio close to 1:1 and a boxy silhouette. The vehicle uses Chery’s range-extender system, pairing a 1.5T dedicated range-extender engine with a 34.3 kWh LFP battery. Electric-only range is 210 km, while CLTC combined range exceeds 1,200 km. It delivers up to 455 hp and does 0-100 km/h in the 5-second range. Fast charging is supported, with a 20-minute session taking the battery from 20% to 80%.
Seven airbags are standard across the range, and the Falcon 700 driver-assistance system offers navigation-assisted driving for city streets and highways, as well as a Roaming mode.
According to Chery Chairman Yin Tongyue, the iCAR V27 has won international recognition and a positive domestic reception since its debut. Next, the company will refine product details and continue to expand capacity to meet demand at home and abroad — aiming to drive global sales growth.
