Gasgoo Munich- On February 9, Lu Fang, chairman of Voyah Automotive Technology Co., announced on Weibo that China's first mass-produced Level 3 SUV — the Voyah Taishan Black Warrior — will officially hit the market in March.

According to Lu Fang, the Taishan Black Warrior leads the pack by featuring Huawei's top-tier Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS solution with four lidars. Built on precise environmental perception, it can transmit signals and communicate intent to its surroundings, marking a comprehensive leap in perception and prediction capabilities. This means it can "see" further, more accurately, and more comprehensively, allowing it to move confidently within the system's scope of responsibility.
Lu Fang further revealed that Voyah has dug deeper into its safety logic: when responsibility is partially handed over to the system, a "domain-wide redundancy system" serves as the ultimate foundation of trust. The true value of this redundancy architecture lies in handling extreme moments that exceed design conditions. For instance, in tests, Voyah simulated a scenario where the driver suddenly became incapacitated and the system failed to take over immediately. In that moment, relying on a "double safety redundancy" design across critical system links, the Taishan Black Warrior autonomously pulled over smoothly, stopped, and activated its hazard lights.
Meanwhile, Voyah's official social media channels released a teaser video for the new model. The footage shows the Taishan Black Warrior retaining the signature front fascia of the Taishan series. A continuous light bar, waterfall grille, and illuminated logo appear together, giving the front end a powerful and distinctive look. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with lidar and intelligent driving status indicators, among other advanced driver-assistance features.
Notably, as early as the Voyah Taishan launch event on November 18, 2025, Voyah CBO Shao Mingfeng detailed the Black Warrior edition. It features a full blacked-out treatment and an exclusive exterior kit. The fusion of elements like the high-gloss black grille, waterfall grille, exclusive 22-inch black forged wheels, and red brake calipers creates a style that is understated yet dynamic. The interior offers a bespoke scheme, with door panels and seats featuring exclusive perforated textures, hand-embroidered headrests, and details like a dedicated starry headliner.
