Gasgoo Munich- Geely officially announced on Oct. 20 that the 1 millionth Geely Galaxy Xingyuan has rolled off the production line. Launched in October 2024, the A0-segment compact EV took roughly two years to hit the 1-million-unit production mark, a new growth record for the segment. Fan Junyi, executive deputy general manager of Geely Auto Group Sales, called the milestone significant on social media, pledging continued product updates to reward customer trust.

The Xingyuan's growth was rapid: 200,000 units by May 2025, 600,000 by March 2026, and 800,000 by that August, before crossing the 1 million threshold in October. The leap from 600,000 to 1 million took just seven months, and the final 200,000-unit increment took roughly two months, proof that production and sales pace only accelerated over time.
Positioned as Geely Galaxy's urban electric commuter, the all-new Xingyuan launched this May. It features a rear motor and rear-wheel drive, a multi-link independent suspension, and the Galaxy Flyme Auto infotainment system. With strong specifications and competitive pricing, the Xingyuan has consistently led its class, topping overall vehicle sales charts and commanding over 30% of the A0-segment electric market. The model has also expanded to more than 30 countries and regions.
The Xingyuan's million-unit run reflects the broader growth in affordable electric vehicles. In the cut-throat competition of compact EVs, the model has stayed competitive through consistent specifications, robust battery safety, and constant updates, balancing mass-market appeal at home with export demand abroad. Hitting 1 million is a milestone, but it also signals a shift: the product is entering a zero-sum phase. Sustaining that growth will demand sharper product upgrades and deeper pushes into overseas markets.
