Gasgoo Munich- Gotion High-Tech has rolled out a new-generation CTB rear-integrated heavy truck product, jumping from standalone battery packs to a fully integrated chassis solution through native vehicle-level design.
Traditional heavy-truck batteries typically rely on a "single-pack" layout. Redundant frames, brackets, and connectors consume space and add unnecessary weight. CTB (Cell to Bracket) technology strips away these excess frames and module tiers. Embedding cells directly into the vehicle via a highly integrated bracket trims weight and frees up space.

The advantages over single-pack setups are clear. The battery system's height drops to 943 mm, a 40% reduction, lowering the center of gravity for better stability. The pack shrinks, pushing volumetric energy density to 250 Wh/L. Vehicle weight falls by roughly 400 kg, while gravimetric energy density exceeds 160 Wh/kg. Every kilogram saved translates directly into extra payload capacity.
The product offers notable flexibility. Battery capacity ranges from 400 kWh to 700 kWh, allowing operators to tailor range to their specific routes.
For safety and maintenance, the design separates water from electricity. Cooling pipes sit on the exterior, eliminating the risk of coolant leaks reaching the cells and simplifying routine servicing.
For cold-weather operations, the system offers liquid cooling and heating with an optional PTC ceramic heater. The PTC unit rapidly warms the battery in freezing conditions, maintaining optimal cell temperatures and charge/discharge efficiency. The product has completed a 6,000 km durability road test, validating its reliability and stability.
Industry data shows Gotion High-Tech ranked among the top five for heavy-truck battery installations from January to August 2026. This represents a 51.5% increase from the same period in 2025, cementing its top-tier market position.
