HIMA's First Luxury Rugged SUV Stelato G9 Officially Announced

Gasgoo Munich- The Stelato G9 has officially debuted under Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance. Positioned as the brand's first tech-luxury rugged SUV, the model is part of the flagship 9-series lineup and has appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's new vehicle filing.

According to filing details, the Stelato G9 adopts a boxy silhouette with a rugged off-road aesthetic. It measures between 5,206mm and 5,377mm in length, 2,050mm in width, and 1,897mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,160mm. Powertrain options include range-extended and pure electric versions, both built on a full-domain 800V high-voltage platform paired with the new "Giant Whale" battery pack. The range-extended version carries a 75 kWh battery, while the pure electric variant is equipped with a 120 kWh unit.

In terms of intelligent driving, the Stelato G9 is equipped with Huawei's Qiankun 896-line dual-optical-path image-grade LiDAR, supporting the HUAWEI ADS 5.0 system. Notably, the side-view cameras have been relocated to the C-pillars. The new model also features HarmonyOS Star Ring headlights, dual-color projection DLP, and LC dimming glass. Options include roof racks, electric tow hooks, electric side steps, and various wheel styles.

According to Peng Lei, former product director for Huawei's Smart Selection vehicles (Stelato series), the G9 serves as the brand's first flagship SUV. It will join the S9 and S9T to form a high-end product matrix covering sedans, wagons, and SUVs, further expanding Stelato's footprint in the new energy vehicle market.
