Gasgoo Munich- IM Motors released an official statement today addressing delivery delays and the suspension of vehicle certificate issuance caused by operational irregularities at select dealerships. According to the statement, on July 7, 2026, one of IM’s two dealers in Kunming—Yunnan Kunming Zhihe Yuexing Auto Sales Service Co., Ltd.—suffered a capital chain rupture due to private lending issues. This left some buyers unable to retrieve vehicle certificates from financial institutions, stalling registration and delivery. The fallout also reached an affiliated entity, Zhuhai Zhihe Yuexing Auto Sales Service Co., Ltd., disrupting deliveries in the Zhuhai region.

In response, IM Motors established a special task force immediately and deployed to the scene the following day, coordinating with government authorities and other resources to support affected customers. By July 17, the automaker had completed its outreach and assessment of all affected users. Certificate issuance and vehicle deliveries have resumed since July 18, with all standard orders expected to be fulfilled by the weekend. IM Motors issued an apology to customers for the delay.
Regarding after-sales support for existing owners, IM Motors specified that customers in Kunming can visit Kunming Hengsheng Zhiyuan Auto Sales Service Co., Ltd. (IM Delivery Center), while those in Zhuhai should turn to Anhua Automotive (IM Delivery Center) for service.
Furthermore, IM Motors addressed what it called deliberate amplification of the incident by certain organizations and individuals. The company noted that unfounded claims, such as "dealer collapses across multiple regions," are being circulated widely, disrupting its brand reputation and operations. IM emphasized that its nationwide network remains stable, having opened 26 new stores between June and July as it continues to expand its service footprint. The automaker stated it has preserved evidence regarding malicious defamation and will pursue legal action, urging the public to rely on official announcements and disregard rumors.
