Gasgoo Munich- IM Motors unveiled its new NEXT·2028 product strategy during the Chengdu Motor Show 2026. Built around SAIC Motor's latest NEO electric architecture, a fully by-wire chassis and the IM Claw AI agent, the strategy is intended to upgrade the overall vehicle experience. IM Motors said the technologies will become standard across its future model range.

The next-generation IM LS6 will be the first production model developed under the strategy and is scheduled to debut in September. All variants will incorporate the three core technologies. Targeted at the RMB 200,000 family SUV market, the model emphasizes what the company describes as aviation-inspired safety and a "super first-class" cabin, earning it the company's "A320 on wheels" designation.
IM Motors also displayed the next-generation IM L6 Prof. Jimmy Choo Bespoke Limited Edition and Sean Lee Special Edition. The first was created with designer Jimmy Choo and features couture-inspired styling, while the second was jointly developed with racing driver Sean Lee with a focus on sporty handling. Pre-sales began on August 18. The initial run of the Jimmy Choo edition is limited to 1,000 vehicles, with 100 offered each day, and the company said the available allocation sold out immediately.
The NEO architecture introduces upgrades to the electric drive, thermal-management and electrical systems, alongside a comprehensive 800-volt platform designed to support rapid charging. The fully by-wire chassis incorporates triple safety redundancy and delivers a claimed response time of 20 milliseconds, providing a hardware foundation for more advanced automated-driving functions.
IM Claw is positioned as an AI assistant capable of handling complex journey planning. The IM AD ZETA driving-assistance system will also incorporate a model developed for Level 4 automation to improve the performance of its Level 2 functions.
IM Motors said the three technologies will be fitted as standard to its forthcoming models. Pricing and detailed specifications for the next-generation IM LS6 will be announced at its September launch event.
