Gasgoo Munich- FAW-Volkswagen JETTA has officially filed for its first all-electric sedan, the M6, in the latest product catalog from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Built on Volkswagen's CMP electric platform with a proprietary Jiesi architecture, the M6 marks JETTA's entry into the electric sedan market. It features a new exterior design and a single-motor setup available in two power outputs: 113 kW and 145 kW. The model is expected to launch later this year, targeting the 100,000-yuan segment dominated by young families.

In terms of design, the M6 features a closed front grille flanked by slim, split headlights, with JETTA's new EV logo centered. The front bumper incorporates an active air intake. The charging port is located on the front passenger-side fender. The profile is minimalist, featuring a fastback silhouette, semi-hidden door handles, and a choice of 17- or 18-inch wheels.

Regulatory filings reveal various optional features, including different mirrors, window trims, wheels, front and fender cameras, a shark-fin antenna, and a panoramic sunroof. At the rear, the design is clean, highlighted by a full-width light bar with a central "JETTA" badge. "FAW-Volkswagen" and "M6" badging sits just below the lights, while a large black lower bumper adds a sporty appearance.

The M6 measures 4,806 mm long, 1,895 mm (or 1,868 mm) wide, and 1,500 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. The single-motor powertrain offers 113 kW or 145 kW, paired with CALB batteries.
