Gasgoo Munich- On June 11, Leapmotor announced that, citing Dataforce, it held its lead in Italy's battery-electric vehicle market in May 2026. Registrations hit 4,765 units — a 1,278% jump from a year earlier. Its share of the BEV market climbed to a record 34.5%, while private channel share reached 48%, securing the top rank.

The Leapmotor T03 remained the country's best-selling battery-electric vehicle model, ranking third overall and second in private channels. Meanwhile, the Leapmotor B10 defended its title as the leader in the electric C-segment SUV segment.
After surging to the top of Italy's EV sales charts in March, Leapmotor has sustained its momentum. The brand logged 11,637 registrations in the first quarter, capturing 33.5% of the local market. That momentum carried into April, with 4,496 registrations — a 1,300% year-on-year spike — giving it a 33.5% market share and pushing its private channel share past 51.1%.
Back home, Leapmotor is racking up wins as well. May 2026 saw 81,569 units of total deliveries — an 81% year-on-year surge and a 14.26% monthly increase — setting a new all-time high for the brand. Notably, global sales of its C-series lineup crossed the 800,000-unit milestone.
This month, the revamped C10, C11, and C16 will hit the market in succession, featuring upgrades in design, smart technology, comfort, and range. Adding to the lineup, the flagship D99 MPV opens for pre-orders in June, signaling a distinct push upmarket for the second half of the year.
