Both models heading to Indonesia target the SUV segment: the B10 is a compact five-seater electric SUV, while the C10 is a larger mid-size option. Built on Leapmotor’s proprietary technology architecture, the vehicles feature self-developed core components accounting for 65% of total cost—including the electric drive, battery system, smart cockpit, and electronic-electrical architecture. This deep vertical integration allows Leapmotor to continuously optimize costs from design through production while accelerating technological innovation.

As family vehicle demand rises in Indonesia, the B10 and C10 aim to deliver a high-quality electric mobility experience, leveraging advanced smart features and spacious interiors tailored for local consumers.

On the same day, Leapmotor and Indonesia’s Indomobil Group announced the launch of local KD (knock-down) assembly operations in the country. This marks Leapmotor’s second localized production base in Southeast Asia, following its facility in Malaysia.

In partnership with PT National Assemblers, a subsidiary of Indomobil Group, Leapmotor has already kicked off local KD assembly. The Indonesian plant officially began operations in April, with the first locally assembled B10 and C10 units scheduled for delivery starting in August.

With the Indonesian plant now online, Leapmotor has established a Malaysia-Indonesia manufacturing footprint, becoming one of the few new-energy vehicle brands in Southeast Asia with dual KD bases. This creates a solid production foundation for expanding across the broader ASEAN market. Beyond responding quickly to local demand, Leapmotor’s localization strategy is set to create technical jobs and drive the development of a localized supply chain.

On the sales front, Leapmotor will leverage the "Stellantis Brand House" model to sell vehicles alongside brands like Jeep and Citroën, offering customers a one-stop sales and after-sales experience. PT Indomobil National Distributor will manage local sales and network expansion, tapping into Indomobil Group’s nationwide distribution and retail system. The plan is to establish 50 sales and service outlets in Indonesia by the end of 2026.

Leapmotor’s entry into Indonesia represents another milestone in its global strategic partnership with Stellantis. The company has expanded its reach to over 40 countries with more than 2,000 sales outlets, and global cumulative deliveries have surpassed 1.5 million units. As local KD production ramps up and the product lineup expands, Leapmotor plans to launch one new model annually, bringing more electric vehicles equipped with cutting-edge technology to Indonesia and surrounding markets.
