Gasgoo Munich-Li Auto announced that cumulative deliveries of the Li Auto L9 have exceeded 300,000 units. Data from China Automotive Terminal Retail indicates the L9 ranked first in cumulative registrations among China's full-size SUVs as of June 2026.
The L9 launched in June 2022, with deliveries commencing in late August. The 10,000th unit rolled off the production line at the Changzhou manufacturing base in September 2022, setting a new industry record. It took less than four years to exceed 300,000 units from the initial delivery.
Li Auto stated that since the start of deliveries, the L9 has accumulated 15.53 billion kilometers of driving distance—equivalent to 52 round trips between Earth and the sun. The vehicle has executed 2.95 billion user voice commands. Through 55 over-the-air (OTA) updates, the model has added 1,003 new features and optimized 825 user experiences.

The L9 has long been a preferred choice in the family flagship SUV segment due to its premium amenities—including on-board refrigerators, entertainment screens, and comfortable seating—and extended-range powertrain. Driven by the L9, the combination of extended-range technology and living-room features has effectively become standard in the domestic 9-series SUV market.
"The first-generation L9 faced the most skepticism but was also the most imitated," Li Auto Chairman and CEO Li Xiang said at the launch of the new L9, criticizing the industry's copycat trend. "Some are learning through experimentation based on Li Auto's approach, while others are simply copying it. The living-room concept pioneered by Li Xiang has now become an industry standard; every car has these features today."
Li Auto officially launched the new-generation L9 in May. The new model offers two versions: Ultra and Livis, priced at 459,800 yuan and 509,800 yuan, respectively.
The new-generation L9 is equipped with Li Auto's in-house Mach M100 chip. Built on a 5nm automotive-grade process, the single chip delivers 1,280 TOPS of computing power, boosting efficiency by 82% and reducing end-to-end latency in intelligent driving scenarios by 40%. Powered by the Mach M100, the vehicle runs the Mach VLA model, which handles ten times the computational load of the previous generation. By combining a 3D ViT perception model with a multimodal thinking model, the system achieves the understanding of driving intent and risk prediction.
