On October 9, Li Auto unveiled details of the 2026 Li i6, which is scheduled to arrive at dealerships on October 11 and officially be launched on October 28, according to Li Auto. The update covers six areas: lighting, the front trunk, seating, displays, chips and driving range. Two new exterior colors, Magnetic Blue and Wind Purple, have also been added.

Lighting and front trunk
The 2026 i6 adopts the same flagship headlight design as the MEGA Home and L9 Livis. According to Li Auto, the headlights extend illumination distance by nearly 30% and offer substantially improved brightness. Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) functionality comes standard, using independently controlled lighting units to reduce glare for vehicles ahead and oncoming traffic when high beams are activated. Additional low-beam auxiliary lights widen the illuminated area and help light up blind spots when turning.
The front trunk uses the same hands-free design as the i9, with powered opening and closing as well as power-assisted latching. A powered-closing button is located inside the trunk lid. It can be opened in three ways: by tapping the hood, through the mobile app or by voice command from outside the vehicle. The exterior voice-control function supports voiceprint recognition.
Seating and interior displays
Both front seats are full-size zero-gravity seats with 16-way power adjustment and four-way power-adjustable leg rests. Li Auto says foot space has been improved when the seats are in the zero-gravity position. Each seat offers 18-point kneading massage across the cushion and backrest, along with ventilation and heating; the leg rests are also heated. The second-row seatbacks can be electrically adjusted from 25 to 50 degrees, and footrests are provided.
The front row features a 29-inch panoramic display with 6K resolution. Its left and right display areas can be configured flexibly, and supported functions include full-screen movie playback, lyrics, Insta360 and large-screen Apple CarPlay. The second-row screen has been upgraded to 4K resolution, with overhead audio channels and a second-row vanity mirror added nearby.
Driver assistance and cockpit technology
The driver-assistance system is powered by Li Auto's in-house Mach M100 chip, rated at 1,280 TOPS of computing power. The cockpit uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 chip.
Battery, range and charging
All versions of the 2026 i6 come standard with a 96-kWh in-house-developed 5C fast-charging battery. The rear-wheel-drive version has a CLTC-rated range of 780 km, while the all-wheel-drive version is rated at 710 km. Li Auto also says it has established a nationwide network of 4,200 Li Auto Supercharging stations.
