Richard Yu, Huawei's executive director and chairman of the Consumer Business Group, stated on Weibo that the Grand Design series marks Maextro's entry into the ultra-luxury segment. He emphasized it redefines design, craftsmanship, technology, and experience, rather than iterating on existing models. Yu added the event will abandon traditional launch formats, blending technology, aesthetics, and art.
The Maextro S800 Grand Design edition took center stage at the HIMA pavilion during the 2026 Greater Bay Area International Auto Show. Positioned as the brand's flagship bespoke executive sedan, pre-orders opened with a price range of 1.6 million to 2 million yuan.
As a D+ segment luxury sedan, the Maextro S800 Grand Design measures 5,480 mm long, 2,000 mm wide, and 1,536 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,370 mm. The wheelbase maximizes interior space, achieved through a short front overhang and elongated body profile.
The model adopts Maextro's "Heaven, Earth, and Humanity" design language. Building on the standard S800, it includes exclusive Grand Design accessories, enhancing luxury and gravitas. The front features signature 96-faceted crystal C-shaped Galaxy headlamps with million-pixel light sources for custom welcome animations.
