Gasgoo Munich- Changan NEVO launched the Q06 on September 23, setting the official guide price between 139,900 and 169,900 yuan. A limited-time offer brings that down to 135,900–165,900 yuan, with the Ultra soft-and-hardware package available for just 9,900 yuan.
This marks the first NEVO model to feature Changan's self-developed Tianshu Navigation System, another heavy play by the automaker in the mainstream new-energy market. With monthly sales approaching 40,000 units, the arrival of the Q06 isn't just another new car—it's a trump card for the brand's push upmarket.

Just how far has Changan pushed the specs?
The Q06's product strength can be summed up in one word: segment-busting. Visually, the 4,837mm length and 2,940mm wheelbase create a low-slung stance, aided by a 4X wheel-to-axle ratio and a 2.21X wheel-to-height ratio. The full-width "smiling" headlights house 236 LEDs, boosting brightness by 21% and width by 27%.
Drag resistance drops to 0.27Cd, with frameless doors, hidden window seals, and aerodynamic wheels all fine-tuned for airflow.

The cabin is where the Q06 fights hardest. Rear headroom hits 1,041mm with 155mm of knee room, achieving 91.7% space utilization. Front seats recline to connect with the second row, enabling an industry-first 28-point acupressure massage mode, while the rear seats offer 145° electric reclining. Across the lineup—except the base trim—standard features include suction ventilation, heating, and 14-point massage.
Trunk capacity stands at 782L for the pure electric version and 734L for the range-extender, expanding to 2,200L with the rear seats folded. There's also a 196L front trunk with wet/dry separation, operable via smartphone or by tapping the emblem twice. Inside, the center armrest hides a 4.9L cooler, while a 4.6L compressor fridge below the console supports temperatures from -6°C to 50°C with 24-hour temperature retention when parked.

Intelligent driving is the Q06's core selling point. The Changan Tianshu Navigation Ultra system runs on a Horizon Robotics J6P chip with 560 TOPS of computing power, paired with a 256-line lidar, 3 millimeter-wave radars, 11 HD cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors.
Its algorithm uses a one-stage end-to-end large model, enabling full-scenario navigation, voice-commanded lane changes, and driving style memory. Parking capabilities handle dead-end spots and ultra-narrow spaces, allowing entry into gaps just 50cm wider than the vehicle. For active safety, AEB can bring the car to a full stop from up to 135km/h during the day and 110km/h at night.

Powertrain options include pure electric and range-extended versions, offering 602km or 700km EV range and 1,600km combined range for the latter. It rides on an 800V silicon carbide platform with 6C fast charging. The segment's unique dual-motor rear-wheel-drive setup ditches the traditional mechanical differential, enabling tank turns and stability at 190km/h even after a tire blowout.
The chassis features all-aluminum front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension, tuned jointly by the German expert Peter Davis's team and Changan's UK division.
Why NEVO's momentum keeps building
Turning from the car to the brand, NEVO's sales curve has been steep this year. March sales hit 36,875 units—a 102% surge. By July, deliveries reached 39,841, just shy of the 40,000-unit monthly threshold, solidifying its lead among state-owned new-energy brands. Global sales topped 45,000 units in August, achieved even as supply constraints for the Q05 left tens of thousands of orders unfilled.
Changan Executive Vice President Yang Dayong revealed the full-year target sits around 400,000 units. With the Q06 now in the mix, monthly sales have a shot at sprinting toward 60,000.
The logic behind NEVO's rise lies in brand synergy and a focus on hit products. Yang recently admitted that hard-won lessons from Avatr and Deepal were fed back into NEVO, helping it avoid costly missteps. Rather than flooding the market with models, NEVO concentrates on building potential blockbusters.

Calculated by dividing total monthly retail sales by the number of models on sale, NEVO averages over 6,000 units per car—an efficiency rate that ranks near the top of the industry.
The Q05 illustrates this best: climbing from just over 3,000 units in February to 22,680 in August. It wasn't just the 69,900 yuan price tag driving demand—it was the rare combination of 506km range, 3C charging, and lidar in an 80,000-yuan-class EV SUV.
Of course, NEVO isn't without risks. The strategy of swapping margin for volume has squeezed the Q05's profits to the limit, and the brand's positioning between Avatr and Deepal remains somewhat ambiguous.
Yet viewed differently, securing a foothold with scale before pushing upmarket with technology is a pragmatic path for the 100,000-yuan family market. Launching the Q06 with the Tianshu Navigation System signals that NEVO is bringing Changan's core intelligent tech down to mainstream price points. If this step succeeds, NEVO's real story begins.
