Gasgoo Munich- On May 28, Richard Yu, Huawei's executive director and chairman of the Consumer Business Group, announced that the new AITO M9 series secured over 20,000 firm orders within 24 hours of hitting the market. Unveiled on May 27, the model boasts more than 140 new technologies and over 40 industry-first innovations.

Yu noted that test-drive vehicles have arrived at over 900 stores nationwide, with three new two-tone color schemes—Desert Gold Brown, Sayram Blue, and Ocean Silver Blue—now available for customers to experience. The model had already amassed over 70,000 orders during the pre-sale phase, while firm orders topped 11,000 within the first hour of launch.
The new AITO M9 series offers three trims: Max+, Ultra, and the Ultimate Extended Edition. It covers both extended-range and pure electric powertrains, with optional five- and six-seat layouts, totaling eight configurations across the lineup.
In terms of pricing, the Max+ version starts at 479,800 yuan, while the Ultra version starts at 539,800 yuan. The official retail prices for the Ultimate Extended Edition are 649,800 yuan for the five-seater and 659,800 yuan for the six-seater.
To date, cumulative deliveries of the AITO M9 have exceeded 285,000 units. At the launch event, Yu declared the new generation to be "the most powerful SUV currently on Earth."
The new model comes standard with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5.0 intelligent driving system, equipped with an all-directional stereo perception system comprising six LiDAR units. It also marks the debut of Huawei's full 800V high-voltage dual-silicon-carbide power platform and the new Huawei Giant Whale battery platform. According to the plan, priority deliveries of the Ultimate Extended Edition will begin in August through the "Pioneer Program."
